Uno sguardo dalle colonne di HuffingtonPost dal 2019 al 2021 Abstract: This compendium is the fruit of 12 articles published by HuffingtonPost from 2019 to 2021 in which I provide my personal interpretations and reflections on Mario Draghi’s policies and projects. To fully capture my interpretation, the 11 articles should be read in order; in my view they indicate Mario Draghi’s coherent and longterm approach to the Construction of Europe, starting from the decade of economic and financial turmoil to the current decade. Since my analysis has almost always been of Europe and Italy’s role within Europe, it follows that I have focused on Mario Draghi’s policies and projects; however, I have assessed his role as President of the European Central Bank within his broader vision of the European Union and Economic and Monetary Union. Now that He has been appointed Prime Minister of the Italian Republic by President Mattarella, a new political stage opens up in which we trust that Mario Draghi’s vision, competence and experience as well as courage and confidence will contribute to Italy’s progress and participation in the construction of a United Europe which must face its worst crisis since WWII. This was the clear intention behind the appointment made by Italy’s President, Sergio Mattarella. We close the compendium with a comment on the speeches given by Prime Minister Draghi to the Senate (17 February 2021) and the Chamber of Deputies (18 February 2021). The article “Investing in Knowledge”, primarily focuses on human resources, education, research and innovation and reminds us that Mario Draghi who has never forgot his origins as a university professor.
